About Tantra Utsav


Tantra Utsav (2011-12)



                Thakur Polytechnic is organizing "TANTRA-UTSAV" a two day fest which consist of  State level Paper Presentation (Electronics, Computer and Mechanical Engg. Group) and Quiz Competition (General) and various On-Spot Events which include fun events as well as technical events on 22nd and 23rd September 2011, under ISTE Student Chapter (MH-116), supported by MSBTE,Mumbai.

                 Keeping in view tremendous competition prevailing in current scenario, "Tantra Utsav" will provide a good platform for the students to innovate & put forth their ideas which will boost their confidence. It will also act as a platform for the exchange of ideas and information.

                "TANTRA-UTSAV" Promotes this feature by inviting technical papers from participants to explore technology, collectively to achieve goals and update their knowledge about the latest trends to face competitive life. General Quiz Competition is organized to Enhance Student's General Knowledge as well as Current Scenario in this huge world.


               This competition is open to all student of polytechnics in Maharashtra state.This is a venture arranged by Thakur Polytechnic for 4th time.


                  This year we had also added many On-spot Events such as LAN Gaming, Programing Challenges, Sudoku Challenge, Play Card (Extempore with a Twist), Tug of War , Minute to Win it , Web  Designing , Blind Message Typing and Treasure Hunt to improves student's over-all activities.

RULES FOR PAPER PRESENTATION:
  • Maximum of  two authors per paper are allowed.
  • Paper should contain names, addresses and e-mail id’s of all the authors. Paper should be maximum of 6 pages of A4 size (Normal Page Margin) with 1.5 line spacing using “Times New Roman Font”  size of 12 along with an abstract of about 500 words.
  • The hard copy of  the paper along with a DD of  Rs. 300 in  favor of  “Thakur Polytechnic”, and registration form should be sent by courier to the Convener at college address.
  • Papers should be sent on or  before 19th September 2011 and soft copy ontantrautsav@yahoo.com
  • The selected teams will be invited to give a PowerPoint presentation on their topic.
  • Free accommodation will be provided for the participants of non-Mumbai region. Students are requested to give prior intimation to the convener by email on or before 31st January 2011.

Send us your complete paper in word format only(not above ms word 2007 format) to tantrautsav@yahoo.com on or before 19th Sept. 2011

Selected papers will be notified via e-mail on 21st Sept. 2011, and will be invited to the venue with thier presentation.

The selected candidates should send a scanned copy of Approved Registration form totantrautsav@yahoo.com on or before 19th Sept. 2011.

The Original copy of registration form and D.D. should reach the convener by 19th Sept. 2011 before 5 p.m. For any query Contact us

NFS Most Wanted


Game Version: NFS Most Wanted 1.3
General
·         Competition Method: 1 vs. 1
·         Game Type : Circuit
·         Host, client will be announced before the match or decided by coin toss. (Only for LAN Tournament)
·         Other controllers, Steering Wheel allowed
·         At the end of each match, players must maintain the final screens and receive confirmation from a referee.
·         Winning a race: The winner of a race is the first player to complete 5 laps of the circuit course and cross the finish line.
·         Graphic settings such as motion blur can be set using external utilities.
·         The use of Porsche GT and BMW M3 are NOT allowed.
Car Settings
·         Visual Upgrade allowed.
·         Part, Performance (Pro, Super Pro, Ultimate)allowed, Junkman not allowed
·         Personal save files are NOT allowed.
·         GAME KSHETRA provided save file must be used for car setting.
·         Cars may be tuned before racing each course.
Game Settings
·         Courses : Diamond, Dunwich Bay, Heritage Heights, Bay Bridge, East Park (*Each Course may be modified by the GAME KSHETRA committee. Players will be informed before the tournament of any such modifications)
·         The Course selection may be changed prior to the tournament. Players will be informed of any such changes before the tournament.

Player Options

Disconnect
·         Disconnection: Any disconnection of the connection between match players due to System, Network, PC, and/or Power problems/issues
·         Intentional Disconnection: Upon judgment by the referee, any offending player will be charged with a loss by forfeit
·         When any disconnection occurs:
·         If the disconnection is deemed to be unintentional by the referee, the match will be restarted. If any player does not agree to a match restart, that player will lose by default.
Penalty for Unfair Play
Unfair play
·         Use of any cheat program
·         Intentional disconnection
·         Use of any settings exceeding standard and permitted settings
·         If the match is disrupted due to unnecessary chatting, the player may be given a warning or lose by default at the referee's sole discretion.
·         Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, that player will be disqualified from the tournament.
·         During the course of any match, the operations staff and/or referee may determine other actions to be unfair play at any time.
·         Two warnings constitute being disqualified from the tournament.
These rules are for the GAME KSHETRA and are subject to modification in the following aspects.
·         Use of the most recent patch/version release of each official game is within the committee's own discretion.
·         Changes to in-game settings and options necessitated by the use of most recent patch version/release
·         Cheat Protection Program release and/or cheat protection functions
·         Game settings and/or operations guidelines dictated by differences between online and offline tournaments.

Counter Strike



GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

·         Competition Method: 5 vs. 5 (Team Play, 5 players per team)
·         Rounds: 30 Rounds (Max rounds format) 15 rounds as Terrorists and 15 rounds as Counter-Terrorists per team.
·         The first team that scores 16 rounds wins and the match ends immediately.
·         Round Time: 1 minute 45 seconds
·         Starting Money:800
·         Sides: (Counter-Terrorist / Terrorist) will be announced before the match or decided by a coin toss.
·         Victory Condition: The first team to score 16 rounds.
·         In the case of a tie after regulation, 6 extra rounds will be played. (3 rounds as Terrorists and 3 rounds as Counter-Terrorists per team)
·         In the case of a re-tie after  6 extra rounds as stated above, 6 more extra rounds will be played until the tie is broken.
·         Tie-breaker Start Money: $10000
·         Tie-breaker victory condition: The first team to score 4 rounds.

NOTE:   
·         Players are not allowed to move with the “Duck” key pressed repeatedly. Any player found using this method may be given a warning or a loss by default at the referee’s sole discretion.
·         Any occurrence of the flashbang bug, unintentional or otherwise, will result in a warning and forfeiture of that round as well as three additional rounds at minimum. A loss by default for the offending team for a repeated flashbang bugs maybe awarded at the sole discretion of the  referees.

IN CASE OF CHEATING AND VOILATION OF RULES

·         Any action in violation of the Player and Spectator Conduct rules as witnessed by tournament staff may result in a warning. Once a warning has been issued, the next violation will result in disqualification of the entire team.

·         The referees reserves the right to cancel or modify the tournament rules if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond reasonable control, impairs the integrity of the tournament.

·         Any protests or disagreements with tournament rulings must be made directly to the referees in a reasonable manner at the time of the incident, at which time a prompt decision will be made. Disputes must be filed before leaving the tournament area or before starting the next half. The Committee’s decisions are final.

·         Protests/disputes can only be filed by the team leader and/or team manager(s).
·         Any competitor or team accidentally utilizing ANY exploit or bug in a map or game will forfeit that round and/or all remaining rounds for the half. Players are responsible for their actions in regards to known map or game bugs/exploits.

·         Any competitor or team attempting to use ANY exploit in a map shall be immediately disqualified and may be removed from the event. If you have a question regarding a particular tactic, ask the Tournament Staff prior to the match.
·         The referees has the right to disqualify and dismiss any registered player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament, for any reason, with no prior warning to the player.

War-Craft 3 (Dota)

1) Maps : 6.70
2) version : 1.24

3) Rules:
  • Game will be played in a 2 vs 2 format or 3 vs 3 format , i.e. Clan of 2/3 members per side will be allowed to participate.
  • First round will awarded to the team who uproates the first tower of any lane.
  • Heroes will be selected by 'SD' mode.
  • The Finals will be played in a 'CM' mode.
  • Players can change weather,terrain and war-key settings
  • War-key setup , if needed should be brought by the players
  • Banned heroes won't be allowed in the match
  • In case of technical problems like PC clang /PC hang /PC restart , the game will be restarted.
  • Any kind of help will be provided by the officials present there.
  • Officials can disqualify if any misbehavior / screening / fights occurs at the match time.

4) Finals
  • Final match will be played in a 'CM' mode.
  • Winner will be decided when all the 3 towers of any lane will be uproated.
5) Event will be started and completed on the day itself , i.e. on 11th February 2011,

The Registration for all the On-Spot Events will be done before the 22nd Sept. 2011
